Hello. I have a question about the "Save Attachments" addin. When the addin saves the attachments from Outlook does it remove the attachments from the emails? I would like to be able to extract all attachments from a folder in Outlook but I don't want to remove the attachments from the emails themselves.
Thank you.

Brian Gregory,
No, it doesn't remove attachments.
We have another utility for this - Remove Attachments

Hello,
what happens if there are duplicates with the same name? Are they skipped or are they renamed?

Francesco Cesco,
They are renamed by adding a counter after the file name.

If it saves all attachments to a particular folder, can i still access those attachments from within the mail itself ?
I mean does it create a link or anything pointing to the attachment in the folder?
sorry for my bad English.

bebseh,
We have a few utilities which are working with email attachments.
Saves attachments - only saves attachments to disk without deleting them from an email. So, they are accessible from email itself.
Replace Attachments with Links - saves attachments to disk and delete them from an email. So, they are accessible from email through links.
Remove Attachments - delete attachments from an email. So, they are NOT accessible from email.
Remove Duplicate Attachments - saves only duplicate attachments to disk and delete all but one attachment from emails. So, they are accessible from one email directly and from all other emails through links.

Question about the Save Attachment utility. It installed and set up fine. When I "run" the utility from Outlook, it does exactly what I want it to do. But I want this process to be automatic, and it's not. I have to "run" it to get the utility to move attachments to the specified folder. How do I set it up so that the files are moved automatically as soon as the email is received?
I'm running Win 7 and Outlook 2010, although I could set this up on an Outlook 2013 machine if needed.
Thanks!

Jeffrey, automatic processing is available in the advanced version of Save Attachments utility, thanks to integration with Outlook rules.
