Is there a way to assign emails to a task as correspondence without first having to open the task to move the email element to the task as an attachment?

I also find the handling of attachments very confusing and cumbersome.

I use Outlook for email, and it works perfectly.

Here's my issue:

First, my email app, Outlook 2013, is open and running almost all day long.

Recently, I tried (for the first time ever) to email a document from Word 2013.

When I do, I get the following message and I'm at a loss as to how to get around it.

"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."

My Windows 10 Email client is set to "Outlook (desktop)".
And, my only Outlook 2013 profile is also set to "Default".

Using Outlook 365 and when I set up archive folders to a shared directory I must have made a mistake defining the target archive in Outlook so now, 6 months later, I am trying to search through my archived e-mails to correct the sorting and it is not working very well.

What I need to find is all mails from and, regardless of date and receiver, and select and move them to correct archive.

I just cant find a way to do it.

Reading instructions from https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/of...6fb895a8da it seems that is not a viable scenario.

Anyone have an idea about this? I have a sign in problem with my MS account/Exchange Outlook account which has been working for years. I am using the correct password but it will not allow me to sign in. When I hit "forgot password" to try and reset, it takes me to a page to enter my email and special characters, but then it only takes me to a page which says "you cant reset your password because reset isnt properly setup for your organisation. You must contact your administrator. I am the only administrator as an end user. It will not allow me other methods of verification. all I want is to gain access to my Exchange email account or if I have to move my email address to another provider..I will.



I am end user not connected to schools or business.
