Split PST Files and Outlook Stores into Parts
Discuss these utilities here.
Not very helpful, at least in my case. I have pst file that already exceed 2Gb and therefore can not be added to Outlook 2007. Because of that, it does not appear in the list in Outlook profile, so it can not be selected for split in this utility.

What I need is to split this large file into smaller files without loss of data to be able to add newly created files to Outlook 2007. This utility does not seem to be helpful for such task.
S G, we're planning to release a version which does not require Outlook and works with PST files directly. This future version will be able to accomplish your task.

when do you expect to release this version for massive pst files/emails ?
Z V, this version is planned to be released this summer. And next month we will release a major update for our utilities and even more but it will not include direct PST support yet.
I am also waiting for a utility that runs independent of OL due to large size (>2gb) of PST. It's now September - any updated estimates?
PST files support functionality is implemented in our commercial product's ReliefJet Essentials for Outlook command line. As of now, there are no plans to include this function to our freeware utilities.
Background. Just upgraded from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010. Encountered the 2 GB limit... unable to move or delete emails, get new emails, etc. Used the Split Files software. Now have individual .pst files by year. How do I get rid of the oversize file, recover my 2011 emails, and get back to work. Or, is there a help file that covers this.
Steve King, just create a new Outlook profile and add new PST files there. After that you will be able to copy required messages back into a newly created storage.
I am having the same problem as Steve King-has there been any updates to the product in the past year and a half?

Could you give more information about your issue?
Did you tried to create a new Outlook profile as suggested to Steve King?
I would advise you to try Split pst tool to effectively split the large-sized PST file into small parts on the basis of Date, Sender's Email, Size, etc. The software allows its user splitting all folders and items of PST file like Contacts, Calendar, (Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, etc.) This tool is well supported by all versions of MS Outlook and all windows OS.
Large PST files slow down Outlook’s performance and it is hard to stay productive with slow loads of data and avoid constant PST corruption.Usually there is no manual way in MS Outlook to split PST file; however, you can do this from different indirect features of it, such as 'Import and Export' and 'Archive'.

User can use Archive feature in Outlook to Split large pst file into multiple small files by yearly Archive. User can run the Archive process multiple times, each time to a new pst-file. This splitting process can be done via Archive feature in Outlook.

Manual way steps :-

Step 1: Open MS Outlook, Select the PST file to move the mail items.
Step 2: Go to the file tab, then ‘Clean Up’ tools after that select ‘Archive’ option.
Step 3: Check Archive folders and all subfolders if not checked from the archive dialogue box
Step 4: Select the folders to move and then browse the location to save PST file.
Step 5: Now name the new PST file and click OK
