Why use the utility?
There are several reasons why you might need to combine Outlook folders, Exchange Server, and Office 365 public folders:
- restoring backups,
- accidental moves,
- changes to existing folder structures,
- mitigation of migration side effects,
- and many other cases.
Unfortunately, Outlook provides no functionality to do this task automatically. This utility solves many tasks related to merging Outlook folders.
How to merge folders with the utility?
Perform the task in a few steps:
- select one or more source folders,
- specify the destination folder,
- run the utility.
With the advanced settings of the tool you can:
- save the subfolder structure,
- move data instead of copying,
- ignore existing duplicates,
- select Outlook items in the specified date range.
In addition, the utility can create selected folders in the destination folder or simply merge their contents. This allows you to move the entire folder tree from one nesting level to another, for example, after an Office 365 automated migration tools. You can quickly and automatically delete empty folders after merging by using the Delete Empty Folders utility.
Merge Outlook folders from the command line
Command line support enables you to use the utility in a number of automated scenarios of any complexity for migrating and transferring email, merging various Outlook and Exchange Server folders. Moreover, the command line allows you to merge by schedule using the Windows Task Scheduler.
