Live mail on windows 7 to outlook on windows 10

Is it possible to convert my emails from live mail on my windows 7 pc to outlook on my windows 10 laptop please I need my email folders but am a complete novice .

WLM stores emails as individual .eml files.
They are normally located in C:\Users\<userl ogin>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail, but you can move the default location.
You can copy them to Windows 10 laptop. Then use Import EML to Outlook utility to import them.

Thank you for your reply. As I said I am a novice:(
I'm not too sure what you mean by moving the default location-- I'm guessing to be on my PC which is windows 7 and where livemail is my default account.
Do I need OUtlook to be my default email account on my PC for the Converter to work? I am struggling as I keep getting the error message Invalid profile name: Outlook. Do you want to use default profile.
If I click NO I get the same error message
If I click YES
I get the following message Cannot load Outlook profile. Error HREESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component
When I click on Ok the configure utility box opens and shows no profiles found.
I'd be grateful if you could assist as Im really struggling with the instructions

The converter require Microsoft Outlook to be installed and a profile configured.
So you need to run it on the laptop with Outlook, and not on the PC with WLM.

Manual ways to convert EML to PST:
Using Windows Live Mail and Microsoft Outlook
Launch the MS Outlook and Windows Live Mail applications on the system.
In Window Live Mail, click on the File tab, and from the export option select the Email messages.
Select the Microsoft Exchange as the export option and click on the Next.
A Pop up will display on your screen that all e-mails will be exported to Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft Exchange.
Click OK.
Using the Select folders option, you can choose either you want to export all email folders or select the particular folder that you want to export.
Click OK.
After completing successfully, an Export complete wizard will come, click on the Finish.
Using MS Outlook Application, Drag & Drop
The method is preferred when EML files are separately saved on the computer and not any EML supported email client is installed on the system to access them.
Firstly, open Outlook on your System.
Navigate the location of EML files, and then select the file.
Drag the selected EML file.
Drop it into Outlook Application.
By doing this, you will be to able open & view it into the Outlook application.
