Elwyn Frey,
What type of account do you have?
You can try to use Marks duplicates messages to mark duplicates with a category and review them using search folder.
You can look at such example on our video.

Francesco Cesco,
Simple method now compare message id if available. If not uses the advanced method.
Advanced method compare recipients, body, subject, message date, attachments names, attachments size, etc. You can see them if run Duplicate Outlook Items Report utility with Show diagnostic information option enabled.
Also Removing duplicates using our Utility is NOT an one-way operation. You can revert it.
Please see our video how you can do this.

Francesco Cesco,
Thank you for a feedback.
In a new version we have added another method for duplicate messages detection.
You can use simple duplicate detection and if you will still see the duplicates you can use Advanced duplicate detection option. Or you can compare methods and select the one which suits you better and use it a next time.

djtrella,
Current OutlookFreeware.com utility versions doesn't allow to search duplicates across folders.
If you need such functionality then you can use a commercial version of our utilities: ReliefJet Essentials for Outlook. In addition in this program you will be able to select folders priority. This way you will be able to select a folder with originals and a folder with duplicates.

rodehall,
Reminders are stored in Outlook items (appointments, tasks, etc.).
There is no such parameter as reminder change time.
Our utilities should delete new item duplicate. But, if you remove such duplicate to deleted items folder (delete items permanently option disabled) then the program re-create folders structure (for safety purpose, as this way you can restore duplicates to old places). And reminders set up in deleted item subfolders will continue to show up.
Also, it is possible that you don't see calendar subfolder in the deleted items folder if you are using Mail view in Outlook.
So, first you need to empty Deleted items folder.
After that you can try to sync devices and remove duplicates with Deleted permanently option (not safe) or empty Deleted items manually after checking that everything is ok.
This should remove duplicate appointments including their reminders.

rodehall,
There are no such objects like reminders itself in the Outlook.
Probably, you have duplicates of appointments or tasks with reminders set.
If you know exactly what type of Outlook items have reminders (after using mfcmapi.exe) then you can use Remove duplicate task or Removes duplicate calendar items utilities. If you not sure what type of items have reminders you can run Duplicate Outlook items report utility to find it out.

Bernie Baer,
\\ is a hidden folder. So, all your messages was imported there. Unfortunately, you can't see them from Outlook by default. Next time please select some subfolder for Import. For now, you can select root folder, go to Folder tab on ribbon, select Folder Properties. Deselect 'Show home page by default for this folder' option on Home page tab and press Ok button. Root folder became accessible from Outlook. Manually, move or delete messages from it. Set the option back to restore ToDo page.
jgryphon,
This option is only available in the ReliefJet Essentials for Outlook now.

Jason Cannon,
Can you please provide 2-3 samples of these duplicates? Just save them as .MSG using Outlook File -> Save As menu to some folder, pack it using ZIP or any other packer and send this archive to . We'll try to find the cause of the issue.
